Hello Friends,
Every time I try to post a blog for 5263, somehow I end up doing it for my other class. I invited all my classmates but am not sure it reached everyone. I think blogging is an art and a spirit; I love to read your blogs. This class is very challenging and there are a lot of things to do. Good news is that I am doing better everyday.
On top it looks like our nation and the whole world is going through perilous times. Knowledge has increased throughout the world. Even the third world countries are so much advanced in technology. Educational technology is so advanced that our class relationships are so complex now.
I finally can understand the meaning of online community and social presence. This understanding brought a sense of belonging. Frequent chats, blogging, and replying help build up a strong community with shared objectives. Palloff and Pratt(p59)say about virtual community as being essentially spiritual. It brings a sense of caring and interest in each other.
